Did I Make A big Mistake

Ok My Amp is a Rockford Fosgate P8004 Specs are a s follows

4 X 100 Watts RMS at 4 Omes

4 X 200 Watts RMS at 2 Ohms

Front speakers are Infinity 6.1 Kappa Perfects components rated at 4 Ohms 100Watts RMS

Back Speakers are Infinity Kappa 52.7i 2 Ways rated ar 2 Ohm 55 Watts RMS

Am I going to blow ther rear speakers up? What are my ootions? Do I have any other than getting different speakers for the rear?

The fronts are fine. Harman International has been changing most their speakers (Comps and coaxials) to 2ohm for some reason.

Couldn't you wire both back speakers into one of the channels giving the rears 100W between both of the rears? (Wired in series)

Does this mean the rears wont work? Will they blow? I need to make a decession here in a hurry.

I can get some INFINITY KAPPA 50.5CS 5.25" 2 WAY COMPONENT SPEAKERS which are 4 OHM rated at 95 WATTS RMS. Would this be the correct option? I will order them today if thats what I need to do , If I can use the others I would like that but if they will not work I need to know

How many threads did you make n00b.

They will be fine. Set your gain properly, to how much output is needed.

If the amp has dual gains set the gains for the rear low. Set them using the gain setting tutorial in the amp section. If it diesnt have dual gains, use your fader on your deck to limit the signal that the amp will see on the rear channels (aka fade to the front).-Jntar

speakers can handle more than thier RMS rating.

just dont push it.

theyll be fine. infinitys sound best with lots of power imo. like stated, just keep the gains down a bit. this should be plenty loud...infinitys to me have a very sharp sound
