did i fry my amp?

UPDATE:::::eek:k so i connected my zune directly with stereo headphone to rca's. just like the HU, it palyed jsut VERY quiet (well all but one door speaker)

so then i was like matybe there not getting enough power? but my meter says over 13v. then i found...my main fuse by the battery popped. so im thinking maybe there was a little bit of the fuse that didnt burn, so just a little power was getting through, which was why my amps atleast tried to play music. it was a 150a fuse. ive never seen a burned fuse, but this one normally was shiny silver and zigzagged, and now in the middle its brown and melted a little bit, and discolored. so im guessing it burned. should i jsut get another fuse and try again? if so what size?
So you were still getting power even though the fuse was blown? Try removing the fuse and make sure there is no power at your amps.

About your fuse questions. Add up your fuses built into the amps and that is what size fuses you should have at your distro block. So the AQ has 3x40A fuses you would use a 120A at your distro for that amp. Then take both distro fuses and add them up and I believe that should be the size fuse at your batt.

I would only have one amp wired at a time. If one of the amps is internally shorted, then it could damage the other one.

Also you should check your fuses with a meter. You can use ohms or continuity to check them. Check all the fuses in the amps also (I believe those should have blown before your batt fuse did).

fuses are reading 0 ohm.

ok i plugged just one speaker in, and all the rest up. getting 14.8 volts at the power wire of the amp. but, on that one plugged in speaker, the output ranged from .2 to at the most 2 volts. is that right?

Take this to a shop. It sounds like a rolling fire in the making.

I don't mean to be harsh, but statements like this:

in the past, niether amps would turn on, but if i wiggled the power wire to the hifonics amps they would ( i guess they both turn on or niether of em do)
speak volumes. Take it to a shop or forum member you trust and let them sort things out.
