did a 162.3 with 1 12" and 1 10" in my suv ac 190 mic on the kick

But thats impossible to say if the score can be swayed by 10dbs with the turn of a knob
Why would that be impossible to say. If I had a legit show running the AC mic set up correctly or fair. Whatever gets you thinking. And a TL setup correctly. Because hey you can play with the TL aswell to get different numbers. UT OH you can do that with the TL. Its DEAD ON with the TL. Every show I went to that had a AC190 mic. I tested with my TL the night before. Went to the show hit the same number. With mabye a 1 or .5 difference. So whats impossible? Your saying swayed. Whats swayed mean some one is cheating with it playing with it. CHEATING. Been to a few shows like that. Even with the old thin AC mic. Lowered the frequency number so it will only pic up a certain hz. But thats some one cheating. You being from LA have no clue , never heard of what slapshow is. Its just like Iasca they did alot of shows here in NJ PA DE area even MD at one time. They had a deal with tweeter as well. It was a legit show with classes and all. Had finals as well. Now I highly dought they would be going around to each show playing with knobs on the head to what piss ppl off. I just dont see that happening. So I dont think YOUUUU get it. You have Iasca shows in LA mabye right not sure what mic do they use. Thought it was the AC190 as well. Does Iasca play around with knobs switches on the mic to help ppl cheat. Most likely not. I know the couple of Iasca shows I went to in NJ they had the AC190 mic guess what it was dead on to the TL.

There is no question the mic CAN be minpulated. The problem is you just assume it was.I can see if this was in the drive way doing it just to show off or something. But this was at a competition and from what he has said has gone on for some years,so this doesn't sound like it was just thrown together for shits and giggles.

i see what you are saying about the ac meters being manipulated but the 2 dif. judges that i have had exp. with in ga. & fl are staight up guys & i don't think that they would that. they have always been fair with me & have never seen anyone else have a problem with them.

You said "I can tell you the AC190 is dead on to the TL".....thats impossible to say for alllll AC190s cuz it can be turned up to read 10db higher.....the AC190 doesnt even have a thing to do with it.

I dont care what show you was at....if they had an AC mic there it can be turned higher to read higher.

Theres no arguing that......the AC190 is not constant like the TL, hence why its always unexpected as a standard score on here.

Theres no knob on the TL to make it jump 10db....theres just not.....you might be a few tenths off from TL to TL but thats it.

I mean its right here in the thread....he did a 162 on AC and could only muster a 152 on TL.....what does that tell ya?

It does when someone gets a 162 with a thrown together setup

This is what a 160 sounds like on a properly setup AC mic:

crazy stuff... glad i dont compete anymore. i hated dealing with these arguments. shit i dont even have a "system" anymore

TL is the only way to go. too many variations with the Audiocontrol. some are close, some aren't. very hard to compare. only thing you CAN compare is the scores by the competitors at the SAME show on the SAME mic.

DEAD ON would be the same number, not a 1 or.5 db difference.

I hate to tell you this. But you can cheat on the TL just as mush as you can cheat on the audiocontrol mic. Or box for you, not the mic being the mic has no knobs.

Like I asked before do you have any Iasca shows out there in LA, That is were you are from. What mic do they use. The AC190.

Yes dead on. Only time it was off a bit was when it was really really hot out. Thats your .5 to 1 db. Wow so off from the TL right lol. And everytime I went to the shows that used it the AC190mic is was not off from another AC190 mic.

If I even cared to go to comps anymore, Id be happy to show you that the scores were dead on to my TL.
