did a 162.3 with 1 12" and 1 10" in my suv ac 190 mic on the kick

Not saying your scores are bad by any means, but man you are a long shot from a real 162.
Thats all i was saying.

People were throwing out, "AC was only 2-3db off"......yehh.....yehh it was //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

That thing was full bore on +10db for that score //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Yeap, I felt like people were trying to call both you and me out. Now, there's no more calling out.

well how much power do you have? are you in a class with 2 12" if not dont say my shits weak,,, and are you saying a lvl 5 isentaple to handel power? any sub can fail fyi
i run street c now dbdrag & pro stoct 1 iasca. the level 5 dc is a nice sub not close to wardens. 152.7 is not saying your shi1 is weak but it is a far cry from 162.

i have never done anything but sealed on the dash. in db drag they use the tl meter in the past iasca has used the ac190. this year iasca is using tl meter in fl.

"isentaple" is that a word?

This is the longest thread I have ever read. Just to add. I have gone up against the TL and the AC180 and the AC190. The AC ones are the square type not the long thin AC mic. Now the AC180 was about 2 to 4 dbs off. The AC190 was for the most part DEAD on to my TL and all the shows I went to using the TL. Slapshow in the NJ DE PA area was using the AC190. I think this has been talked about in other threads about the AC190 and the TL being dead on.

Another thing too. My truck On the Dash or kick did the same number, Even with the door open in the kick or dash did the same number. I tired different songs and notes. Nothin helped. I could of worked on it but who cares now. Anyways I seen a guy in this thread say somthin about his wife's car is the same.

loudaccent, Are you the guy who got my crunch Gp3000 off of me. I have a TL as well if you wanna get some testing to prove whatever point. Let me know.

People still dont get what im saying...i guess youd have to see a AC setup a few times to get it and be behind the table when you watch a metering:

AudioControl_SPL-190_72dpi.jpg

I dont care about the sensor...im talking about the interface itself...it can be turned up to read 10db higher...and have a higher sensitivity for easier metering...the 2 knobs to the further left on the bottom

Nothing to do with 180,190,etc etc

I know I get it. I have owned on before and I have been to a few shows, that had that kindof cheating going on. Thats how I knew cheating was going on because I have owned one. What ppl DONT GET too is they hear its a AC mic and they think its the old thin long mic when its off like 10 to 20 dbs changes with the time and day, this guy or that guy.

Dont know were you are from. But the ppl who do the Slapshow's(yes they are not around anymore) in the NJ DE PA area are very very very stand up ppl and would never never ever ever do that kindof flip flopping with the mic to get high numbers. So when I say the AC 190 mic is dead on to the TL its dead on.

But thats impossible to say if the score can be swayed by 10dbs with the turn of a knob

Why would that be impossible to say. If I had a legit show running the AC mic set up correctly or fair. Whatever gets you thinking. And a TL setup correctly. Because hey you can play with the TL aswell to get different numbers. UT OH you can do that with the TL. Its DEAD ON with the TL. Every show I went to that had a AC190 mic. I tested with my TL the night before. Went to the show hit the same number. With mabye a 1 or .5 difference. So whats impossible? Your saying swayed. Whats swayed mean some one is cheating with it playing with it. CHEATING. Been to a few shows like that. Even with the old thin AC mic. Lowered the frequency number so it will only pic up a certain hz. But thats some one cheating. You being from LA have no clue , never heard of what slapshow is. Its just like Iasca they did alot of shows here in NJ PA DE area even MD at one time. They had a deal with tweeter as well. It was a legit show with classes and all. Had finals as well. Now I highly dought they would be going around to each show playing with knobs on the head to what piss ppl off. I just dont see that happening. So I dont think YOUUUU get it. You have Iasca shows in LA mabye right not sure what mic do they use. Thought it was the AC190 as well. Does Iasca play around with knobs switches on the mic to help ppl cheat. Most likely not. I know the couple of Iasca shows I went to in NJ they had the AC190 mic guess what it was dead on to the TL.

There is no question the mic CAN be minpulated. The problem is you just assume it was.I can see if this was in the drive way doing it just to show off or something. But this was at a competition and from what he has said has gone on for some years,so this doesn't sound like it was just thrown together for shits and giggles.

i see what you are saying about the ac meters being manipulated but the 2 dif. judges that i have had exp. with in ga. & fl are staight up guys & i don't think that they would that. they have always been fair with me & have never seen anyone else have a problem with them.

You said "I can tell you the AC190 is dead on to the TL".....thats impossible to say for alllll AC190s cuz it can be turned up to read 10db higher.....the AC190 doesnt even have a thing to do with it.

I dont care what show you was at....if they had an AC mic there it can be turned higher to read higher.

Theres no arguing that......the AC190 is not constant like the TL, hence why its always unexpected as a standard score on here.

Theres no knob on the TL to make it jump 10db....theres just not.....you might be a few tenths off from TL to TL but thats it.

I mean its right here in the thread....he did a 162 on AC and could only muster a 152 on TL.....what does that tell ya?

It does when someone gets a 162 with a thrown together setup

This is what a 160 sounds like on a properly setup AC mic:

crazy stuff... glad i dont compete anymore. i hated dealing with these arguments. **** i dont even have a "system" anymore

TL is the only way to go. too many variations with the Audiocontrol. some are close, some aren't. very hard to compare. only thing you CAN compare is the scores by the competitors at the SAME show on the SAME mic.
