Can't a VR and 1.8T get about the same results with the same money while the 1.8T will keep good mileage?
I was looking at the VRTs and saw a lot of people mention they were only getting mid-teens with them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

yeah, well without going to far, as far as bolt ons, i can smoke a VR's any day with my car now, all it's got is chip, turbo back and cams

VRT, that's a whole different story.

I don't car to much about quarter mile times. obviously its a VW it's never gonna run 8's or 9's without an all motor, strictly racing setup.

i'd rather have a car that was decently fast, that you can still drive everyday, and be comfortable in.

us VW guys are a little diffrent then most "tuners"

1.8t is teh loose
vr6 5-speed or GTFO
Car to elaborate why? Not a smartass question just wondering. They both seem to take about the same amount of work to get around 300hp. I read up on the Vr6 for a while figuring that would be the best option then looked into the 1.8 also.. only downside I could see to doing a 1.8 was you need a bigger turbo but gets better MPG.

P.S. I know shit about cars this would just be something for me to mess around with and learn.

if you're looking for something to look mess around with on the cheap, get a 1.8t, definitely best dollar for dollar performace wise. you can make 250 @ the wheels from a measly stock 165ish at the wheels for under $1k

not the fastest on the freeway, but its fun to rip around town, and on some backroads

they'll both get to a point where you can't get much more power without a turbo/big turbo/internals.

anyways.... back on topic

oh, and where is teh bush pics?
