I've not heard a new Mag so I do not know how it compared to the old version that I have heard.

I've heard the D9, though, and it is a pretty classy sub IMO. Yes, this is partially due to my being a DAT fan but it's also because the D9 is a more than capable driver in its own right.

Put it in the right box and feed it appropriate power and it will surprise you how freggin' loud it can get for a sub not especially geared towards SPL.

When you say "new" Mag, are you talking about the triple stacked one? If so, I don't think anyone heard those before (other then the SI guys), so no one can really compare the two.

Also, there's no real release date for the new Mag.

id say whatever you can get cheaper, ive heard the d9 (although in a store) and own a mag. both sound pretty good. if you can get a used mag 12 in good condition for 350, id say get the mag

Get the Mag I have 2 and they sound very good real smooth and musical and they get loud enough to hurt your ears check out my sig.
