Diamond D9, TDX or IDMAX

I originally wanted to stick with the IDMAX (I am downgrading to a 10" version) because I LOVE THIS SUB but one of my friends SWEARS by those two Diamond subs.

Does anyone have any experience with them two?? How much power did you put to them?? They will all be in a sealed enclosure that is 1 cubic feet or smaller.

How many watts do you push to your Diamond(s)?

I havent hooked up my TDX yet,but plan to feed it about 1200 watts each

(i am still looking for a second one)

I have seen them take even more power than I plan to use,but maxing them out is not nessasary

I would go for the TDX/D9 -

In all honesty, it's going to come down to personal preference. The subs are close enough in performance that there isn't an easy choice one way or the other.

In the one hand, I'd say go with the IDMax because you've used them, are used to them and know you like them. On the other hand, I'd say D9 just because it's always fun to try out new things.

Either way you're making a good choice, however.

The only reason I might go with the Diamonds in the mounting space is less, b/c I have to pay the local car audio shop about $70 to add a 3 1/2 inches to my fiberglass box for the IDMAX. I'd only have to add about 3 for the Diamonds.

But let me get this straight, the D9 and TDX are the SAME sub????? Just a newer version pretty much (referring to the D9)?

I love the IDMAX but I think the D9 might be a little more durable

Sweet, durability is what I look for in a sub. I will be powering it with a NINe.1 so I want to get a d4 sub to wire it at 2 ohms. Thanks for the help fellas!!

Does the this TDX really take 1500 watts?? I thought their RMS was lower???

your better off if your gonna run a Nine.1 buying a D2 TDX

they can and do like 1200+watts which is what a 9.1 makes approx
