Hey, i have read a ton in the search pages on these subs and the mkII, and there is tons of praise. However, i don't understand the box suggestions, etc. Everything i have learned so far about T/s specs doesn't make any sense with these subs.

The F/S is very high for a sub(40hz on a 10), so do these even play low at all?

Also, the specs are so different between SVC and DVC, how can they even have the same box requirements?

Also, they recommend the same size ported box for a 10 and a 12, both ported at near 40hz. Can anyone give any help?

The F/S is just a natural resonation, it's definitely not going to dictate whether or not the driver is capable or incapable of strong low end output.

T/S specs can vary from an SVC to its DVC counterpart, because if they are found using a Klippel machine, which actually uses input power to set the cone into motion, wiring the DVC in series, or in parallel can change the specs of the driver.

It's strange that they recommend the same size box, it might be a typo. Also, tuning in the mid to high 30s for ported isn't necessarily bad, more times than not the vehicles cabin gain can add to the lowend, maybe they tune high so it isn't over exaggerated.
