okay, so im going to have ordered, 2 12" Dimaond D6 woofers.. now i was wondering what amp i need to power them.. and price is somewhat an issue..

what i had in mind:

hifonics tx1505d -$240

hifonics 1800d -$240 (this is the older BX ###0D series not ###5D)

orion 1200d -$290

if u have anything else in mind within this price range of $300 by all means lead me to it!

thanks alot

laith

im very hesitent in buying the orion though, because it seems like i could give them more power than just 600wrms each...

do i have any other options with amps?

thanks

alrite.. so since many of u arent recommending hifonics.. i dont think i want to take my chances...

so im going to ask u guys a favour!

what other amps in the price range that i can easily find and get off ebay.. since i live in canada.. the most hastle free US based sellers are on ebay..

this is where im getting all my car audio from..

so what other powerful amps that can nicely power 2 12" dimond D6's can i find on ebay within the price range of $300US

thanks alot again

that orion or an alpine mrd-m1005....might not seem like enough power, but it pushes my d6's with ease....never overheats ever....i havnt even gotten the cooling fans to turn on....i hear it can be wired at 1 ohm daily without a problem....

so do u really recommend that orion amp?

even over a bx1800 amp?

like the way i see it.. is the hifonics amp cant be THAT bad powering the D6's.. cuz no matter how over rated it is.. they will still be powering the D6's at or above the D6's RMS wattage.. wouldnt it?

like my gains will prolly be only half way up.. and if thats the case.. wouldnt the hionics just serve me right?

so with the bx 1800.. i would be giving around 700 watts approx to each amp.. and with the orion i will be giving around the same amount.. no? so why are you all up for orion and not hifonics.. if i should be getting the same results with both?

I don't know what your car's electrical system can handle but I'm giving my M6 over 800W in a sealed box and I bet there's still some room to grow if I wanted it.

I'd aim for about 700w per D6 in a ported box.
