i cant believe i didnt port this bish sooner ! i definitely have been missing out on the true aspects of this sub.i put this 12 in a 2.3 cube box to around 34 and i am pleased on how much better it sounded over the spec;d sealed box.alot cleaner sounding and louder

yea,i was allways lookin for that lil extra that i could not get out of this sub sealed plus it ran warm to hot.after i slapped it in the said vented box and tried out some of the same songs again,the dust cap was cool as ice.that my friend is a win win.

That box is a little big for that sub, you will get a tighter more accurate sound if you went down to under 2 cu/ft but they do sound good regardless.

I was in the same situation as you! I had 2 diamond audio d6's in a sealed prefab 1.26cu ft per chamber. It sounded good but i wanted it louder. I had a custom ported box built tuned to 35 hz and WOW What a difference. I can literally see my doors flex now when I turn it up and it still sounds just as good if not better as when it was in the sealed! So loud in fact that I can rattle almost all the windows in my house when I am playing it in my garage! My family comes running out yelling your shaking the whole house, turn that **** down. Have had the neighbors threaten to call the cops on me plenty of times too!! Love my D6's!

exactly right !

it may be 2.1 now,not quite sure as the box is a modified ebay one that i have had using it in my home surround system.i actually just threw it in there to see what would happen and i allmost came lol ,its way louder now while the cone stays cool and no bottoming out.im reall rather impressed with it

diamond subs are great,they dont get allot of play here in this website

but I have owned pretty much every model at one point and they do a great job

at a cheap price (if you ebay shop) They are underrated big time too,I had 900Ws

going to my D6s are they pounded,small ported boxes is all u need

this sub went from where is the output ??? to omg turn that sh*t down.seriously !! and thats with the amp on 75htz with zero bass boost and HU is tuned.i was showing a friend just yesterday my setup and the whole roof was flexing pretty good and it was clean sounding.the wife said,you're going to blow out the sun roof lmao

how does the FI Q sound in comparison to the d6 ? im gettin a havoc pretty soon and the Q is comparable to the havoc so i read.i want to know what to expect cause im really lovin this setup right now and definitely dont want to downgrade in sql

Not even in the same ballpark......FIQ smokes a D6 as well as a TDX,Q just grabs more music and plays more tones /notes....

Im in between systems right now on account of a new truck I have not cracked up yet but will this winter
