Well I have an extra Diamond D3 just sitten around gathering dust and I want to put it to use. I want to put it on my computer and I was just wanted to make sure I have all the stuff I needed to make it happen.First the plate amp, I was lookin at this http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=300-750, then I need a cable that goes from headphone jack to RCA, then of course a box that I will build to spec,

One question how do I split the signal into two? It kind of hard to explain. Right now there is a cable that goes from the headphone jack on my computer to a headphone jack on the back of my stock sub that gives it signal, then there is two speakers that are plugged into the back of the sub that get there signal. Now I need signal to my plate amp AND my stock sub so I still get mids and highs. THANKS for the help

a Y cable - lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Radio shack has em.

I've used that amp, btw... I didn't measure because it was more than adequate for the application, but I don't see any way it puts out 300 watts.

spkrman do you think that amp will power a 400w sub good enough

and yes I know a Y cable splits the RCA cable into two, but the input on the back of my computer sub is a headphone jack, so I need an input to a headphone jack and a RCA cable from just one headphone jack output on my computer.

To make it simple (output= headphone jack)--(input= RCA and Headphone jack)

If you need both and RCA and headphone output, you need to get a Y cable that converts one headphone jack to 2... plug the RCA adapter into one end of it, and use the other one however you need to.

The amp should be enough, and still decent for the $.
