diamond audio for mids+highs?

thanks for everyones help on finding me people to make a box for my fi q, it sounds great. anywayz, i want to upgrade my infinitiy kappas that i currently have in my car with diamond audio hex series comps in the front, and diamond audio d3 6x9's. so i ask everyone, would this set up be ok on 75 x4 rms alpine amp??? all other suggestions are welcome. i will spend up to 550 dollars on speakers. i want 6.5 comps and 6x9's so all input will be welcome. thanks guys!

alot of people here will say that diamond dont have good midbass but if u can listen to them and like them them, go for it.

they do lack a little midbass but overall some nice speakers. also look into rainbow, cdt, focal, or possibly dynaudio.

i looked in to some focal, in to the polyglass series components. they say it can hld 60 rms, can it hld more? the 6x9 hlds 80 rms. ive heard good things about it but i dont have a place to go listen to them here in st louis. so i might roll with these. however dont want to seem like a pest but, ive heard some lines of boston acoustics sound ok, and some some great. so what do you think about boston acoustics higher end speakers?

i looked in to some focal, in to the polyglass series components. they say it can hld 60 rms, can it hld more? the 6x9 hlds 80 rms. ive heard good things about it but i dont have a place to go listen to them here in st louis. so i might roll with these. however dont want to seem like a pest but, ive heard some lines of boston acoustics sound ok, and some some great. so what do you think about boston acoustics higher end speakers?

Focals sound really good!!!!!!!

And that Alpine amp should be perfect, the Polys are rated at 70w RMS, which is perfect, and it will sound awesome!!!!!!

sounds like a plan, im going to see if i can go to the ill side and see if they have any dealers over there to buy the focals from. if not, i might have to ebay:fro: thanks fa the help ill post the results of it, and if i cant find them i will probly go with the bostons.

Diamond may not have the best mid bass but they make up for it in smoothness if you ask me. If you want more mid bass you can look into the d9 diamonds.

d9's are hot, just to rich for my blood. do you know any other comps that sound like they are about in the same ballpark, i just want something that sounds good, and i can hear over my fi q. i really dont want anything that sounds like like the infinitys i have.
