diamond audio d6 1200.1 question

I recently (yesterday) got a diamond audio d6 1200.1 class d amp. This is probably a newb question but its a mono channel amp and it has 2 speaker outputs I looked at diamonds site and it said nothing about this . I'm going to be running 2 diamond d6 12"s and I'm think the other speaker terminal is for easier wiring? My idea was to wire each sub to 2 ohm (since they are 4 ohm dvcs) then to each channel on the amp ,I'm not sure if this is correct so if anyone could help I would be most greatful
