Demonoid - gone?

Shit... so basically I used Oink for all my music, and Demonoid for TV shows. I actually buy CD's, and go to the movies to watch movies, but for TV shows I need my fix.

I guess its back to public shit with shitty speeds...

RIAA/MPAA/CRIA - **** my fat ball sacks. I hope you lose more money next year.

Man... I was tempted to post this last night... I was so depressed. It was the best way to try out something before buying. Hopefully they'll find some new servers. It was a private site too. That was the best part. Not a bunch of fake torrents.

the only reason i disagree with that concept is the AMOUNT these artists make. it's unfair dude, given they are talented but come on.. some of these people are making 1, 2, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50-100 MILLION dollars ANNUALLY.
my mother is a RN with a local hospital and i can guarantee she busts her *** TWENTY times harder than any musician and makes 1/1000000th of what they make a year.

if cd's cost $5, i would think thats fair.

$15? hell no.
I don't thinnk the problem is the artists that make the money... The real problem is the amount of money companies make off of the artists. It's the same reason all these writers are on strike in hollywood; at least give a person what they deserve for their talent. The money made from it has to go somewhere, and it shouldn't be bigwigs that just sit back collecting. If I were a big artist, I'd give a **** about a person sampling music for free, especially if they didn't have the money. Hopefully they'd support after moving up in economic brackets. I would still be pissed at seeing somebody over me making 50% off my talents while i'm barely earning 5%.

And they spend a couple of weeks writing an album, spend four days recording it, and thats worth how much money?
Then they live off that for the rest of their lives?

Thats ridiculous!
There's a lot more to making an album than that. A lot of sound engineers that charge ridiculous prices, studios that charge ridiculous prices, and exec's at the top taking a big chunk of change. The price of cd's are still too high, but I doubt anybody would see any profit off of $5 a cd. But without all the intricacies, I'm sure there wouldn't be any audiophiles out there.

True, but the end product can make them wealthy for decades after those few months of "work", which was my point.
Hopefully. Its hard to make a profit off of albums though. I might be wrong, but I think a lot of the profit comes from concerts. I need to read up on that. But they definitely don't become wealthy... they might be temporarily rich off of it.
