Same thing that happened with me.

Motherboard took a shit, sent it in to get "fixed", got it back and did the same d*mn thing.

Mine actually crapped out right out of the box.

Literally.

I turned it on for the first time and was hit with the blue screen of death.

Dell is pretty good for that kind of shit. My mom's order got cancelled for some reason at the factory. They sent it next day, and upgraded her ram and HDD space. I belive they upgraded her CD drive, too.

and they were kind enough to double ship me

i bought the 3 or 4 year extended warranty

they upped me from 2.0 ghz to 2.4 ghz, 120 gigs to 160 gigs, 1 gig ram to 2 gigs ram, geforce 7800 to geforce 8800, and gave me all that other free shit

I hope I have the same luck you guys did. I just set up a system exchange, because my Inspiron 6000 is about to fry its fourth motherboard. The last three lasted less than 4 months each.

About 4 hours of battery life

I went through and tallied up all the options. Came up to over $1800. My Inspiron cost about 1600 after rebates and such almost 3 years ago. Needless to say, the extra few hundred dollars I spent on the extended warranty was definitely worth it. I feel kind of bad though, because I pretty much stole this new comp off them with only a month left on the warranty (I got three years out of the old one). But I was having issues and got a brand new lappy for free. Me Likey
