Now Fedex who is almost always on time is running late.

If I leave for work before my gear gets here the little turd down the street will jack it for sure.

i put a big metal box on my porch with a lock. ups puts the packages in and locks it.

Yea we were painting at some lady's house and when we showed up there was a UPS sticker on the front door that said "package on back porch as requested" i don't know if the lady wrote a note or if there was some other way of telling the driver to put it back there but it worked whatever she did.

I think you can make a request through UPS/FedEX/DHL etc. to have them deliver it to your back porch, behind house, behind garage, etc. Of course, I could be mistaken.

x2, you could also get signature confirmation on packages so you have to sign for it before they leave it, I know it sucks if you're not home but it keeps the punk neighbor from getting free stuff.
