God that is a good beer. I would recommend it to people who enjoy a very tasty Belgium beer.

Expensive but worth it.

I'm getting ready to partake of these:

Flying Dog Kerberos Tripel, Double Dog Double Pale Ale, Horn Dog Barleywine Ale, and Gonzo Imperial Porter.

Tomorrow night, it's Weasel Boy's Supergenius Barleywine release party at the brewpub. I'll be there with my friend Robert and about 60 other people to drink and listen to a local band. Should be a blast //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The Double Pale was 11.5% alcohol as well. It was quite strong.

I would agree, it is simply the best tasting beer i have ever had.

I worked at a large liquor store and got to sample tons of ipa's and different beers too.

Well, from the BA website, the best example of that style is Duvel:

I had that Supergenius Barleywine at Weasel Boy, and it was amazing at 1 year old. The hops in it were much subdued from last year, the malt came out a ton, and some of the sweetness went away making a much more balanced beer. The first sip gave a huge taste of pineapple, caramel malt, and a good bit of citrus hop (Cascade is my guess, but I can be wrong). I cannot wait to try the bourbon aged version that he's got aging. From what I've heard, he's going to release it at 2 years (which will be New Year's Eve 2010).
