Deka 775MF VS XS D3400

im having some voltage issues in the malibu and ive decided to start upgrading the electrical. my current battery is an "advance special" AKA autocraft Silver 75-2. its a decent battery, but its gotta go as part of the upgrade chain.

both the deka and XS power are the batteries that their respective manufacturer recommends for my car, only concern is the deka can be had for less than half the cost of the XS. that means i could technically buy 2 dekas and put one in my trunk for the same cost as the XS. i would much rather just have a single battery under the hood VS one in the trunk and one under the hood.

thoughts/opinions on the Deka versus the XS power?

Deka all day....if u have a sams near you go and get a group34 durcell agm for 115 bucks ..about a third the cost of the xs ..its made by east penn same batt as deka. ..i run one and 2 extra dekas..great vatts. nothing against xs but their price is just outrageous

And they also have g31 duracell for 160 same as xs3100....i would get one of each ..problem solved

another option would be sears platinum but those are in the $190-220 range.

XS is the gold standerd in audio batteries right now. I run close to 6000 watts off 3 3400s and dont lose a volt full tilt. I've used Yellow tops and C&D before and its no comparison. The XS crushes them.

sams club batteries? that kinda worries me, lol. but i do have a sams near me. ill look into that. i looked at the sears as well. im going to try and get by on a single battery for now since adding a second battery requires running a TON of 0ga.

Trust me they are the same as deka..i run them and i dont drop below 14.4 full tilt on aq 3500.1..yes xs r nice but if most ppl who ran xs. swapped for east penn batts they would be mad they overpaid

im assuming they are sponsored by xs that's why?

im just stating here i found that the sites say for the same size battery (for my truck) that the sears has at least 10 amp hours more then the sams club.

i cant remember but arent G78 the same size as G34/31?

You must have never ran XS. There is a reason they are used in top cars.

Dude i understand the nuthugin they r good batts but they arent magic or have pixie dust lol ...there have been ppl swap out xs for other and you.d ve suprised ...i have 290ah worth of batts all new for 265 bucks

ahh, so i most likley wont be able to fit the G31 then. ill look into it and see if i can shoe-horn the G31 in. that should solve the problem. lol

You have 290ah running 4000ish watts. I have 200 running 6000ish watts. There is more to power transfer the the AH rating.

Yes i understand how batteries work .. i also understand ur stand on nuthugging every brand u run dctc lol..no biggie to each their own ...the east oenn batts are nore than capable and reliable

can anyone find dimensions on the G31 duracell? i cant find it on the duracell website or anywhere. if i can fit it, im going with the G31. otherwise im running a G34.
