I can't decide on which to go with...Is the 690 worth the extra dough? Any other recommendations would be solid to (preferably under $200)...has to have ipod control though.

If the rear usb port in the back applies to you, and you like motorized faceplates, then get the 6900. If not, then the 5900 will be fine.

The 690 has track and folder search the 590 has folder search. 690 if you just want usb 590 if you want to use an Ipod, both will do either but you have to buy adapters. 690 motorized face 590 not. Other then that they should sound the same being they both have the same Eq and crossovers.
