So I was a big fan of Def Jam: Fight For NY. For those of you who haven't played it, it pitted your fully customizable character against a slew of popular rappers in a somewhat far-fetched storyline, but it combined intuitive wrestling controls with interactive environments and seemingly endless weapon choices.
I bought Def Jam: Icon for the PS3 expecting something of the same game with much better graphics, but... this game is FTMFL. The great combat system from the last game has been replaced with a crappy fighting engine, rendering combat painfully simplistic and random, and reduces it to basically who can push buttons faster. You "manage" a label by assigning monies to various aspects of record deals, but the process is not explained whatsoever and leaves you pretty much guessing as to what to do. The game honestly feels like it was designed by a 4th grader.
The only positive point is the graphics, but even they can't save this wreck of a game from sh!t status. Do yourself a favor and avoid it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif
