Ok, So I've got a question for you guys, mostly pertaining to any1 who has ran L5's in Rex's...but I guess anyone who has used either of the two could possibly help, or someone with overwhelming knowledge...but anyways

I am running a CRX, about 1880-1950 watts...Do I run, 2 12"s or 4 10"s? (Letting me add up to 2 more 12"s later, and no more 10"s without moving up a class)

....I'm thinking the 10"s may be louder from the start, but do you think 4 12"s will be better than 4 10"s...Now most of you will go duh! more cone area! but...Look at the power cap..I can't go over 2k watts...

Input?

Also thought about 2 15"s...but can't add more without going up into higher class

CRXs are best with little cone area. 4) 12s would have the most potential BUT would be the most difficult to unlock that potential.

Case in Point : Ray Farmer has done 155-156 dB with a single 12 and about 7000w clamped to that 12.

And the loudest street CRX ever is Terry Brocks who did 159 dB with 4) 12s and almost 12,000w clamped total.

And they are world champions, most other guys with similar setups to Terry were in the 156 range. He worked really hard to get up there.
