Death Penalty flex... in a regular cab

Just a short video of what this little sub can do.. I just reconed it and it's barely even broken in yet, but it pounds like no other.. The box is roughly 2.5 cubes with a 6 inch aero tuned to 34 hz.. Amp is a powerbass ASA 1500.1 and the sub is of course a 12 inch DP d2..

I'm going to get it metered this friday, so i'll post results after i get back from the comp hopefully..

On a side note, me new camera (sony cybershot W290) does very well at not distorting, but just because you can't really hear the bass at all, i'm thinking i'm hitting close to a 141 or 142.. we'll know friday i gues.. haha. On to the vid..

And p.s. watch in HD for full effect..

And i see the "embed" link on youtube but its just a really long url.. how do you embed videos?

Thanks.. My old setup (Fi Bl 12 d1 running off 750 watts ina 2.4 cube box with a 3 inch aero) did a 137.8, and this is a ton louder to say the least.. I'm not gonna get my hopes up and say it's gonna do a 145 or something, but it's **** loud and we'll find out friday..

And i think the reason you can hear the mids and highs so good is because i've got a set of PG RSD 6.5's (in the kicks and a pillars) and a set of Rockford Power series 6x9's in the doors getting about 50-60 watts rms each.. I like to be able to hear my highs over my subs, because i hate the kids that roll around with their headunit on 5 out of 60 and subs all the way up..

And just so nobody says anything, yes i do turn my headunit to 58 out of 62, but that's clip free so no worries of smoking anything..

Just by messin around with test tones, and my head where the meter is put (lol) i found my cab pressurized the most at 36 hz, but i'm gonna sweep it before i run friday..

so how much room you give up for that box? lol
The whole back area behind the seats.. haha.. it's in a 99 dodge ram 1500, which if you've ever seen one before you know there's a shit ton of room behind the seats.. I'll try to finda picture of when i was installing the box to show ya..

Sub is in the back ground.

Azz shot.. If you look through the basket you can see the reason i had to recone it.. haha..

My DP compared to an Omega 18.. The DP is actually heavier than the Omega, and it's only a 12..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

And a pic of it in the truck...

box looks sweet. did u actually measure the 2. cuz my 12" hdc felt heavier than my 18" hdc but the 18" was a few pounds more. pretty much all the weight is from the motor the cone and basket dont add much

Yep.. My DP came in at 68 pounds, and the Omega was i think 64 or 65.. Not much of a difference, but trying to pick up a 68 pound woofer by a 12" basket isn't good on the fingers... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Its not clip free, pioneers start to clip at 48.

Most people usually run them at 45/62
