Ive been with Verizon for years, and Ive hated their guts the entire time. Years ago when I first got a smart phone and signed up for internet access, I received my first bill which, after close deciphering of the overly complicated bill statement, I concluded that multiple small fees were added that had never been discussed with me prior to signing the contract. The descriptions of the fees all were so vague as to make understanding what they were impossible. I contacted Verizon, got a representative on the phone, and she was just as in the dark as to what these fees meant as I was. She admitted to me that Verizon appears to make their billing statements so complicated, and vague, as to make them almost impossible to fully translate. She was/is a professional meant to interpret them for us customers, and even she had no clue what they were or why they are applied to my monthly bill. But of course, that did not stop Verizon from continuing to charge me for these suspicious fees. I discontinued internet access 2 months later.
And yes, its my own fault for continuing to use Verizon. But from what Ive been told/read/seen, the other companies work in similar ways, so Ive chosen to stay with Verizon due to their superior national coverage. I am currently (seriously) considering choosing a lesser coverage company, to get away from Verizon, due to principle.
