dear Verizon wireless...

I thought Verizon bought Alltel in 2009.
What happened was verizon bought alltel, the gov't stepped in and made them sell part of the company to ATT and yet another part is still operating as alltel in certain parts of the country... So, depending on where you live, you can still get alltel service.

Considering Verizon just won its 8th consecutive "People's Choice" of communications companies, and ATT just won its second "Worst Wireless 'Award'", I would think this may be an individual problem you are having.

Ive been with Verizon for years, and Ive hated their guts the entire time. Years ago when I first got a smart phone and signed up for internet access, I received my first bill which, after close deciphering of the overly complicated bill statement, I concluded that multiple small fees were added that had never been discussed with me prior to signing the contract. The descriptions of the fees all were so vague as to make understanding what they were impossible. I contacted Verizon, got a representative on the phone, and she was just as in the dark as to what these fees meant as I was. She admitted to me that Verizon appears to make their billing statements so complicated, and vague, as to make them almost impossible to fully translate. She was/is a professional meant to interpret them for us customers, and even she had no clue what they were or why they are applied to my monthly bill. But of course, that did not stop Verizon from continuing to charge me for these suspicious fees. I discontinued internet access 2 months later.

And yes, its my own fault for continuing to use Verizon. But from what Ive been told/read/seen, the other companies work in similar ways, so Ive chosen to stay with Verizon due to their superior national coverage. I am currently (seriously) considering choosing a lesser coverage company, to get away from Verizon, due to principle.

I use US Cellular...doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some of those other carriers but I rarely if ever have signal problems...I have a work distributed Samsung Android smartphone using T-Mobile and I will say that T-Mobile truly sucks donkey balls. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
