dear Verizon wireless...

Shoot, I was hoping verizon would buy out Tmobile like they planned on. Apparently the deal fell through, and I don't see it happening. Never get 3g except in the metro cities, so having internet on the phone is pretty much pointless. Anyone know a cheap way to get out of a tmobile contract? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

This thread has some good info in it. I was with AT&T for almost 10 years and their prices kept getting higher and higher. I paid $110 bucks a month for 5 years with AT&T to have 900 minutes and unlimited data and texts.

I still have AT&T, but I use Straight talk instead. Just look at the phones when you buy them, if there is a red map of the US on it, it uses Verizon's network. If there is a blue map on the phone package, it uses AT&T's network. If you're still not sure ask the customer service line and they will tell you which one they use.

I now pay $30 a month for 1,000 minutes and 1,000 texts. if I would have had them 5 years ago, this is what I would have saved

AT$T $6600

Straighttalk $1800

Savings $4800

That's almost $5,000 savings for the same network. I was so MAD when I found out that AT&T's service was cheaper on a different company that bought their service wholesale from AT&T and Verizon.

Yep, no contract and the same service for 1/4 of the price... Android with unlimited data for 50 bucks a month cant be beat. (if you're in a good coverage area) But I thought all Non-smart phones on StraightTalk ran on the Verizon network?

Wow, that's crazy when you add it all up. Luckily I didn't get that feeling when I switched cause I always used the cheap plans when under contract. Had I been paying double or triple for 5 years over what s/t charges for the same "plan" I blow my lid. 5g's is alot of money.

I thought so too. But lately they have been adding phones (depending on your location) and are starting to be able to meet more people's needs. Mu ole lady has a smart phone that uses 3g and has wifi and all kinds of stuff. Of course it's not an Iphone, but it's a smart phone and it's service is only $45 a month (plus taxes)

You're right, i was pretty upset and was really mad about it until I thought about it. It's my fault, I never researched any other plans or companies because I was SO sure I had the best plan and service. I then realized I couldn't blame AT&T for trying to hustle my cash when it was me who willfully gave it to them. I honestly feel like a tool, and as well as I should. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif lol

I wouldn't even think about leaving Verizon. Always have excellent coverage and speeds, grandfathered in with unlimited data, and I'm thoroughly enjoying my Galaxy Nexus, feels like a relief from my OG Droid 1 lol

I would like to congratulate Verizon wireless for being the absolute hands down #1 most worthless company of 2011 in every aspect of business whether it be quality or customer service. it makes me sick to my stomach to know that I pay these outrageous bills every single month for a cell phone that works less than 75% of the time and that's on a good day. agreeing to be with you for two years was the biggest relationship mistake I've ever made in my life and I have made some BIG mistakes in my day. fvck you Verizon. seriously fvck you. and yes I'm mad.
Tell us how you really feel. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Try dealing with them for business...it's taken them a year and half to upgrade our data line and they only got moving when we got the state utilities commission involved and now we are stuck in the fucking contract until next November, at which time we are dropping them like a bad fucking habit.

Verizon is the way to go in my area too. been with em for 7 or so years. I absolutlely love the service but i hate the android OS phones. Just upgraded to a Iphone 4s yesterday from a Droid 2.
