Yep, no contract and the same service for 1/4 of the price... Android with unlimited data for 50 bucks a month cant be beat. (if you're in a good coverage area) But I thought all Non-smart phones on StraightTalk ran on the Verizon network? This thread has some good info in it. I was with AT&T for almost 10 years and their prices kept getting higher and higher. I paid $110 bucks a month for 5 years with AT&T to have 900 minutes and unlimited data and texts.
I still have AT&T, but I use Straight talk instead. Just look at the phones when you buy them, if there is a red map of the US on it, it uses Verizon's network. If there is a blue map on the phone package, it uses AT&T's network. If you're still not sure ask the customer service line and they will tell you which one they use.
I now pay $30 a month for 1,000 minutes and 1,000 texts. if I would have had them 5 years ago, this is what I would have saved
AT$T $6600
Straighttalk $1800
Savings $4800
That's almost $5,000 savings for the same network. I was so MAD when I found out that AT&T's service was cheaper on a different company that bought their service wholesale from AT&T and Verizon.
Wow, that's crazy when you add it all up. Luckily I didn't get that feeling when I switched cause I always used the cheap plans when under contract. Had I been paying double or triple for 5 years over what s/t charges for the same "plan" I blow my lid. 5g's is alot of money. This thread has some good info in it. I thought so too. But lately they have been adding phones (depending on your location) and are starting to be able to meet more people's needs. Mu ole lady has a smart phone that uses 3g and has wifi and all kinds of stuff. Of course it's not an Iphone, but it's a smart phone and it's service is only $45 a month (plus taxes)Yep, no contract and the same service for 1/4 of the price... You're right, i was pretty upset and was really mad about it until I thought about it. It's my fault, I never researched any other plans or companies because I was SO sure I had the best plan and service. I then realized I couldn't blame AT&T for trying to hustle my cash when it was me who willfully gave it to them. I honestly feel like a tool, and as well as I should. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif lolWow, that's crazy when you add it all up. Tell us how you really feel. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gifI would like to congratulate Verizon wireless for being the absolute hands down #1 most worthless company of 2011 in every aspect of business whether it be quality or customer service. it makes me sick to my stomach to know that I pay these outrageous bills every single month for a cell phone that works less than 75% of the time and that's on a good day. agreeing to be with you for two years was the biggest relationship mistake I've ever made in my life and I have made some BIG mistakes in my day. fvck you Verizon. seriously fvck you. and yes I'm mad.
