Deal on this PS3?

OK, my friend bought a new ps3 80g brand new less than a month ago to use while going to college with his roomies. Well story cut short, the plans fell thorugh with the roomates and he will not be using it. He says that he barely has used it since he has had it, and now wants to sell it. He paid 400$ new for it and got 2 games for, Madden 09 and GTA IV. (Probably the first 2 games i would buy anyway), and he also bought a new controller with it. he wants to sell it $400 and is it a deal.

I plan to use it when i go to college next fall

I just got a 60GB PS3, 2 controllers and 5 games - GTA iV, Skate, Tiger Woods 07 - COD3 and some other shitty game for $275 off craigslist. I would not say that is a very good deal.
They seem to sell for a good chunk here but on CL I see them all the time around $300ish with controllers and games.

You could get it less because most of the time when an item is used, no matter how long, the value of it usually goes down quite a lot.

I would buy it seeing that he is your friend and you are still getting a deal.
