deadning my doors 08 dodge ram single cab. few questions

Went out there to start on my doors but it got darker alot faster then i expected. So far ive removed the factory cover off the door and removed all the sticky crap that was holding it on. I have a few questions now before i go further

Questions:

1. Theres a wire for im guessing remote door unlocks even though i dont have one. Should i run the deader under this or over the top of it?

2. As for the holes, i want to go a easy route on them. Can i just cut out a bit of cardboard as bracing then put the deadner over it? Or just i just run the deadner over it and thats it?

3. How much of the inside of the door should i do? ima cover almost whole outer door, i have 25ft of 60mil audiotechnix and only 2 doors so ive got plenty.

4. Is it worth it to remove my brackets and cover them in deadner too?

Okay so i took a look at keep_hope_alive's tc build and heres what i have come up with.

1. Going to run deadner the put the wires back down so if need be they can be mested with

2. Still dont know about the holes, i dont wanna cut tin metal out. Can anyone give me an easyer suggestion?

3. Im just going to get as much as i can inside and out

4. Ima go ahead and cover my mounts, even though there not mdf lol

This all sound right? Also still need to know about using cardboard or not. I have the box to my jbl sub i can cut up, the foam molds also in there if i should throw that in the door too

EDIT: I am now considering going the extra mile and using sheet metal or plexi glass for my holes. Anyone know if home depot will cut plexiglass into shapes for me? If i go the sheet metal route i would also need metal snipers. Can i just silicon the metal sheet too?

Im trying to stay cheap as possible, is this ^^^ above a better idea or can i just use some extra layers of liner? If door needs maintenance they can cut the hole out then ill plexi it up lol

I'd try to do it right the first time. I've seen it done with just the deadener but I fell you'd get a better seal with plexi glass or sheet metal. Also I'm pretty sure Home Depot won't cut it into shapes for you.

1. I would put deadener under the wires that way if you need to get to the wires later on you can.

2. When I did my doors I left those holes open, if you really want to seal them up to it right. I would for sure not use card board to cover the wholes.

3. I used roughly 17 sq ft on all 4 of my doors total.

You left your holes open????? So i dont even really need to cover them? im not looking for the best possible outcome, just get my door done correctly

U can try the sheet metal route I left mine open as there was no reason to cover them. My doors have a channel on the inside that allows water to run threw them so there is no way to make my doors sealed and alot of cars do this.

Yes. You don't have to cover them.

I did something like this but I did not cover 1005 of every surface.

ok cool, thanks alot cthedinger. Hooked me up cheap on the deadner and now you saved me from buying sheet metal and snips. Ill post up some pics in a few hours of the final outcome! Gotta drop my girl at work, get a scew removed from my tire, then ill be doing the doors.

Well ive got one door finished, i was re-attaching the lil keeper pin to my window handle and it shot off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif auto zone carry them?

I ended up covering the 2 small holes with deadner, but that last one was a bit bigger so i just left it be
