I wonder if maybe he was like "Hey guys watch this ****, im gonna get annihilated by this train, and my torso is gonna hit that lady over there"

he DID run into the way of a train that was OBVIOUSLY coming at him. its pretty hard to miss that.

Morally she is wrong but legally correct. Let's say someone lost control of their vehicle on your road and parts of the car came through your window are injured you. Same concept but different circumstances but no one would question you suing for your medical bills. The boy got killed due to negligence and that is why he is liable. If he hadn't darted in front of a moving train, the lady wouldn't have gotten hurt.

oh you'd be surprised. Working here I've seen and heard of may instances where people are getting hit by the train not paying attention or they "didn't see it". It happens quite often.

Those amtrak trains are pretty quiet until they are right up on you. Even then if you weren't looking odds are you still wouldn't notice it.

I see the point of the lawsuit, as messed up as it may be.

But frankly it's not the people suing who are the scumbags, it's the money hungry lawyers who take on these ridiculous cases.

IMO, that should be all she should get her hands on. She should not get a dime from the family.(He was 18...)
