not so much, you can give it a try but dought it will work out. just be careful with how much power you send them.

BTW- I am asking about this because I don't have room for a box. I was contemplating 2 IDQ10's (hope these are more acceptable for you) but will pay significantly more for them than 3 1508's.

I think the idq would be a much better ib sub. didnt jl make some IB w6 back in the day? You may want to search for some, they probably cheap to get now.

Sundown E8 works good in IB as well, There is a full review here and DIY Mobile Audio done by Nizmos14 I believe.

fyi, DD is more of an SQ brand. atleast thats what they started out as.

on another note, what type of ride you working with?

DD does not look at themselves as SPL, They look as them selves as a loud SQ company so you could say SQL, DD sound great when they are boomin. I wouldnt run them IB though. I suggest getting 1 IDQ 12" or som E8's.

Dealing with a 96 VW Jetta.

Probably should stick to plan A and run with the IDQ's.

The reason for this post was due to a friend offering me his 3-1508's for $250 since he knew I was looking for subs.

Ib= infinant baffel. In simple terms no box to resinate sound waves. And ib's if I'm not mistaken are generally VERY effitient. But someone please correct me if I'm mistaken
