IDK about 2/3 months ago I would tell u to get the Mt with out a doubt, but seein as how u would pay about the same for both I would go with the DD for sure. I heard a few times that both subs can actually sound good in the right install.

so the DD would be the better bet then? i have a mark antony 2500 ( 2500 @1 ohm) i have heard it is over rated but i dont know... which of those 18's would you get with this amp? i would like to have a 60/40 or 70/30 split ( spl/sq) just want it to hit hard and low... thanks

Im pretty sure you can pick up a MT18 new for aroun 600 now.

I think DJ at Audioque is working on a 18 it wood be beter then a dd 9515 if you wont to wate I am not shure about the 9918

You can get a used MT 18 for much less than a grand, less than $500 even...

I vote MT just because its incredibly cheaper, unless you are choosing to buy new then I vote another choice entirely because $1000 for a single speaker is rediculous, and if you pay that you need to be shot.

if you're thinking you'll need a grand here's my suggestion. Sell the Mark Antony overrated amp that won't power either of those subs correctly, and say have 1200 for sub and amp. You can get an MT for about 400 shipped on here then you'd have 800 to get sub amp status. Then buy an IA 20.1 for that and you're good.

well i was going to sell it for $400 pick up i am sure the shipping will be pretty high since the sub and the crate weighs about 110lbs

yeah i was thinking of going that route but the reason i like the Mark Antony is because it only usues 90 amps of fuse... i know the IA.20.1 is a incredible amp but how much amps does that use and what is the RMS power on those things also price?
