DD v.s AQ - Is it really worth ith?

Ok,

I've got a KICKER 2500 amp, a sepret Optima Batt. just for the my system, a ported custom encloser thats tuned & has a perfect cu.ft. volume, 0 gound wire, 4 amg wire, etc. etc - Now all I need to do is to decide what brand and model of Subs to buy!

As you can see, My encloser is built for 3 15's:

My dilemma is that I can’t decide between three AQSDC2.5 15's, or three DD2500 15's. I know that the DD's will kick the hell out of the AQ's, but their twice as expensive... (AQ's-$450 DD's-$950) When I', just listening to my system by myself, I will surly have my subs (no matter which ones I get) at the same level of volume. But with the DD's, I’d be able to really blow things up when I wanted to...

So what do you think, is it worth $500 for the DD's, or will the AQ's be able to satisfy my quench for ear drum destruction well enough??? Just tell me what you would do.

Buy the hdc 15s. Nice little compromise in price.

Never heard the sd's but the hdc's and the 2500 both being pretty nice with my preference going to the hdcs, especially since they are cheaper.

what is the box tuned to? & what you mean by perfect cubic ft?

just from the pic the box looks small for 3 15s

and 1 would pick the aqs as while

61" LENGTH

19" HIGHT

23" HIGHT (SLANT)

7.5" WIDTH (TOP)

21.5" WIDTH (BOTTOM)

4.5" PORT HIGHT

the exact cu. feet is 9.7ft cubed

The tuning fq. Is 33hz-34hz

wich is perfect for 3 15"s!

please comment on the box and such, oh and thanks for the advise, i was hoping the AQ's would do... but what kind of HD3's would you advise, and are they for sure better than the sd2.5's? because the HD3's are about $100 more per sub than the SD2.5's

box dose look to small for 3 15 i have 2 hdc315 they have 11.5 cubic net what is your ports tuned to the hdc315 like 40 hz mine sounds great also have mine on a AQ 2200d amp great amp run it on a 1/4 ohm load for burps would not recommend doing this very often though it will cook your subs

10 cubic feet for 3 15" is very small.

from AQ website

"and 15-inch subs work in 4.5cuft." you have a perfect box for 2 15", maybe you can baffle off the center cuout?

Or find subs that want 3 cubic feet ported for 15"

like a type Arghhhh! ported box volume: 1.5-3.0 cu. ft. for the 15"

3 15" Type Arghhhh's would be perfect in that box...

AQ and they will work in that box with the right power. It is on the small side around 3.3 cubes a sub but it will work as long as they have good power. But I would build it up higher and get it to 12 cubes internal. But definately go with the AQ's

AQ's man.. basically the same woofer, except the DD's can handle more power.. u wont notice much difference at all... go the cheaper route... BTW i get DD 2500's for alot less than u bnib lol.. and imma still get aq sdc2.5's
