ok so i have a pair of DD t1510's right now in a 3 cubic foot box before displacements. I blew my t1510's being a dumbass and overpowering them on purpose but im not gonna get into that. i was looking on the DD site and the box recomendations for the 2510 and the t1510's are the same (1.5 ft^3) and the port area recomendations are the same. i find this a little odd:confused: so can i just switch them out and the 2510's will sound fine in the box i have now?

thanks guys

i havent used the 2510 but i installed a 2512a recently.. id say thats not enough power, if you want more output your going to have to give up more space or get more power.. i had a RD 1750 givibg the 2512a about 1500 and it took it fine.. i wouldn't use them with less than 1k per.. maybe i can help you maximize output of your current setup... BTW the new 1500s are better.. describe what you want to achieve, what your working with etc...(box, car everything )

well i have a chevy single cab truck so i made the box as big as possible so theres no way im getting anymore room out of it. I broke them in properly for 25 hours just to be safe. and then i put the gains at about half way up and it wasnt very loud, then i put the gains about 3/4 up and it was pretty loud. and then i cranked them almost all the way up just for shits and giggles. im pretty sure the amp was clipping. and the subs would ****in pound. I was really happy with the output . it was perfect for me. but i was only able to play them for about 20-30 seconds at a time because they got real stinky. so i was thinkin if i just stepped it up to the 2510's then i would get the output i would want. also if i need to i can go ahead and step up the power . ill get a new amp and a new alternator because my voltage drops were pretty bad. you think it would be ok in the box? and yea i have the new 1500's. the new ones are the T1500 series.

thanks man

try sealing the box off im willing to bet your getting cancellation.. compare loudness on all types of music and tones with the port sealed off.. ive found a sub on each a side with a port in the middle firing in the same direction works best in trucks..

do they play without noise, or there finished? you migh like the 2500, but id suggest getting a good power supply first. you probably got voltage drop and had to clip it to get the power needed.. id say they can handle 750 on a daily basis if its unclipped.. the 2500s need more power. if you would upgrade, its likely your going to blow the 25s as well..

yea i was planning on going with about 2500 watts, a 250 amp alternator, i already have the big 3 done and i have a red top up front and a kinetic hc2400 in the back. would that be enough?
