DD Subwoofers

Serious question couldnt find anything when i searched it. I notice that as you go up in series in the DD line up the subs get more effiecent for that certain size sub

(15,12,10) Does this neccesarly mean that they will be louder on the same power?

AKA, in a proper enclosure on the same power lets say a 1000 watts will a 9500 be as loud a 1500 so on and so on. In turn If your applying around the 1-1.5k area of power per sub which will put up the best numbers. Any responses withoout bashing, and if it makes it easier just pertain the answer to lets say 15" woofers im not sure if certain sizes are more effiecient in another series.

Same enclosure and amp you know, keep everything consistent and the same.

1000 watts on a 9500 series wont give you anything worth hearing.

1000 watts on a 1500 series will be nice.

and with the 2 models you cant use the same size enclosure.

Better yet, just find the power you are running and then match it to the sub.

you also have to account for how stiff the suspension is... 1000w on the 1500 series is moving it good, 1000w on the 9500 series and it will laugh at you

match up your power with the RMS rating, or slightly more power over RMS and you'll be set.

so yes, the 2500 series are rated for 750rms and should take the 1000w rms with ease. some people run 1000w to the 1500 series

i would say that a 1512 may be louder than a 9512 on 1k because the 1k will be pushing the 1512 near its max potential where as the 9512 will need a lot more power to reach its max potential and to get going.

im really just trying to put up the best numbers with my power, im trying to be Street 3 so that limits me to a 160 A fuse on my amp only letting my push about 2000 or so watts out of Aq 2200d. 160 Fuse is the biggest I can use with 2 15"s

i sent 1k to a 1508 and it took it and sounded great. i was sending 1k to a 2510 and that ***** got down really good. iam in the middle of installing a 3510 in the truck now(rain delay:crap thats going to be seeing about 2k.

if you have a good 1k to use, the 2500's will shine very nice on that power.

Yeah thats what i was thinking that 2 2515's would really put up some good numbers on 1k+
