Dd Mt?

You can run MT's daily, but why would you? Sure they'll get a 1-1.5db higher score on a meter, but the XXX will sound better 100% of the time, which I consider MUCH more important for a DD than an extra db at the top end. Unless you listen to your stereo at absolute 100% full volume all the time, the output differences wont even be noticed but the SQ differences will be noticeable between the two subs all the time.

Everyone wants the biggest baddest woofer, even if its not the best choice for their situation. Even in today's world of some awesome SQL woofers, people still want more output for a daily. I dont get that reasoning.

Last test I saw from RE showed the MT having the highest efficiency/output of all their subs (including the SX)... in a burping situation. But of course, how each setup would perform would depend on the install. And we aren't necessarily talking about a burp system, we are talking about a DD where the XXX's displacement potential will give it more output than the SX along the entire freq band. I used the 1-1.5db higher number to reflect the efficiency differences the RE test showed between the xxx and MT (to assume they would be in similar installs).
