I have a new DD 9515G and right now it is being powered by an earthquake 10000 phd. I'm not happy with this amp because it killed the DD in one day. I wasnt pushing it hard and thought i had it set right with a multi meter. So i think its time for a new and better amp to push the sub.

So i was wondering what you guys would get to push this woofer. Right now i have an f-150 with stock 130 amp alt. stock battery up front. Going to get a batcap 800 i think to put in the back. any recommendations would be great

yeah i kinda figured that. Thats why i'm going to get a second battery before i put the DD back in. What would you suggest to have a second battery. I have heard about batcaps i have searched and havent found much real world info about them.

So what would guys suggest to beef up my electrical to handle the power so i dont have this same problem again?

dont get a friggn batcap, just get three more of the larger walmart evermaxx batteries and put them in parallel with your battery up front. Should be enough for what you're doing.

seriously. My only problem is that i'm not sure if i will have enough room for 3 of those in the back. I would probaly have to get rid of my back seat all toghther. but i guess if it keeps the amp and dd happy. I'm on a tight budget so it has to be as cheap as possible since the DD drained my budget but i think it was worth it

big batt upfront, & big 3 should be sufficient for now and latta get a new alt.

well with a 130 amp alty u should be able to stabalize somnething for daily with 2 or 3 decent bats. for the money u cant go wrong with used yellow tops. id say at least one up front and another in the back next to the amp (if not 2 in the back). do the big 3 with dual 1/0 and also do dual 1/0 runs of power wire, and make a SOLID ground to the chasis. shoudl be set with up to about 3kw ish maybe more. basically run it as hard as it can go until you're at 12v. dont let it dip under 12v.
