i think i've finally decided on getting one DD 9512 or one DD 9515. right now i have a Audiobahn A1500HCT which is rated at 2000w@ 1ohm but i know it most likely over rated. would you guys suggest getting a new amp or using this one? any suggestions on a box size and tuning too?

I had a Crossfire VR2000D on each 9515.

I went 7 cubes per driver, burp only - and tuned high. Not much help for your daily driving (I'm assuming it's a daily driver).

Regarding your amp ... try it out and see how you like it. If you feel you need more power, upgrade.

I had my 9515 in a 6.5 cu. ft. box after displacement for daily tuned to 45 hz. It was loud off a memphis 1500d. The 9515 will work well off the Audiobahn amp but would kinda tease the sub. But yes it will sound good off the audiobahn.

i hooked my 9515 up to my 250 watt plate amp with a 4 ohm load and it first laughed at me, then the amp died...............

You can find them much cheaper than that.

Keep in mind that DD makes a lot more than the 9500 series.
