DD 1515, upgrade from what I have?

Hi, I am running at the moment a Pioneer Champion Series PRO TS-W3001D4. I want to upgrade to a 15, and some buddies told me that there is a local store selling DD 1515 for 180$.

Will it be a reasonable upgrade, going from a single 12 to a single 15? Will the DD 1515 take 800 watts RMS with no issue at all, all day long?

If no, tell me a better option than the DD1515, I want to play music loud, the pioneer gets very loud from 30 to 45hz, but only that freq range, anything else it is sloppy, and when I play it for a long time, it gets smelly.

the dd will take 1200 watts rms all day long....as long as its non clipped power...

DD is good. Very good. Don't clip your amp though, get the power to run your sub.

Just what I needed to hear. So, it would be 3.5 - 4 cubic feet tuned at 38-40, will try to get videos of what the pioneer was doing, and then what the dd before breaking in on 400 watts can do. A 12 vs a 15 comparison will be good.

just make sure you have 64 sq in of port and 16" long..
