DC vs SSA

Price is close about 100 bucks difference. But we are stuck between two SSA Xcon 18"S and two DC XL 18"s. each sub will be on 2krms, the xcons will be ran at 1ohm each, and the XL's at .7 each

never heard xcon's but the dcons and icons are very impressive. i say ssa.

Two very different drivers. You need to define your goals for your sub woofer purchase, then focus on which models are best.
