WDX 12 2K requires a larger enclosure than K9 12, but that is only going off of DB Drive's recommendations. You'll need to take a closer look at the enclosure design and fine tune it for your space and the performance you want.

Db Drive k9 reminds me of the Soundsplinter rl-p spec wise. Not sure how high quality the soft parts are but they have always peaked my interest.

2012 kIA optima. Have a "turbo bass" "pro bix" from a local stereo shop until I have time to build a box to specs for the limited space.

Db drive wdx line is the only good line they have.
I would advise not to purchase it tho, i have gone through wdx subs like crazy. I blew my wdx 5k in 2 days doing rated power with no signal clip.

Interesting you say that. I blew the k7s in 2days doing rated with no signal clip as well. From what I've seen locally I think the only successful setup are single subs from them.

Any other recommendations for dual 12s around the 300-400 a set price range? 1k rms?

SSA does not have 8s man. Are you talking about sundown audio instead? Why does it have to be local?

I was till i got my team discount and purchased more.
Ended up with suspensions busting, coils rubbing, coils blowing chunks, subs catching fire.
DB Drive still plan to quit selling the wdx series and advertise the upcoming series they have in the works.

Your right it was sundown. And it's just preference to be local. Soon as I purchase I can just drop them in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif , and I have a buddy who has k9s and k6s in a couple of his cars, and doesn't have any issues but he's not pushing a lot of rms.

I ran a search on the wdx just now on google (local dealer was praising them/talking them up, they didn't look special at all) and the first result on google was a thread of you defending them even though you didn't own them (others where giving you much better options which you ignored ) and the second result on google was you later saying "ending up buying them anyways and went through them like crazy" (great internet find !)
