I will have one of these 12" subs shortly and I want to use it ported in a different vehicle. I currently have the 15" version sealed to spec(sounds awesome), but sealed enclosures are really easy to make.

Is it possible to make a box ported to spec with a height of 13.25" and a depth of 16" with the rest being width to get all the way to "Vented 4.0 cubic ft. (net internal, not including driver or port volume) tuned to 20 Hz with a 10" wide by 1.5" high slot port that is 25" long, which yields an f3 of 19 Hz"

If those dimensions will work, what will the width be? can someone design this box for me real quick, I would really appreciate it. I would likely be in the market for someone to build it for me and ship it to me as well, cost being an issue.

thanks.

Yes, dayton makes a good sub. I'm just not sure what you would listen to in a car wanting to be tuned so low. I'm not saying its wrong, you may want to just play 20hz test tones. What do you listen to?

That sub needs a minimum of 5.5' to do well ported... because it's not really designed for ported alignments. It would be good in a 4th order but I wouldn't run it ported.

EBP is only 35 for it and anything below 50 is usually not well suited for ported. Did you buy new from PE or did you get it used or some other way that it can't be returned?
