The church doesn't want to lose it's POWER INFLUENCE on their BRAINWASHED FOLLOWERS. Since the Davinci code pretty much exposses the truth behind the catholic church. i.e. The catholic church knows the whole, "Jesus" thing is a lie, but they don't want anyone to find out so they kill everyone who knows the truth. But you can't kill Tom Hanks... "Silly hoe, yo weapons cannot harm me!" - Juggernaut Now X Men III... Thats! a movie to watch.

I was having a conversation with some other people about this the other day. Its just amazing. Its just like everyone got pissed when passion of the christ came out. Now newspapers and articles here and elsewhere are saying that Dan brown "claims" this and that or whatever. When actually the book is fiction and claims nothing. Its just a load of bullshit, and people are going to ***** when they can, so they do. Idiotic american public for you.

The book is kind of based off of a lot of farfetched conspiracy theories that the author does actually believeto be true. I mean, why would Jesus have had a reason to hide his marriage? Also, the Gospels were written before the formation of the Christian Church, so why would they try to supposedly cover this up?

at the beginning of the book he claims that it's based on facts, etc. it is a fictional work. alot of people read it, thinking it IS real. i was amazed at how the author came up with all those conspiracies and the storyline. it was a great storyline, lots of mystery, and somewhat of a scavenger hunt. i could care less if people protest or not. regardless, i'll see what movies i want to see. it's not like someone tells me to not see a certain movie and i don't. doesn't work that way. it was an amazing book. i just hope the movie lives up to it.

well, some of it can be fact but the whole idea that davinci, newton and all the other great minds in history, where in a cult protecting this secret is a lie. It was fabricated by a french man in the 50's because he was claiming to be the head of this order. He was a nobody trying to be a "somebody" He already "testified" that he and his friend made thousands of fake docuements to construct the fabrication.
