I'm there (as long as I'm off of work //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif )
David used to be a DB Drag competitor.
He was killed a few years ago in a car accident.
Think this one will have a better turnout then the ABT one? It's only a little over an hour away, so maybe I'll head out to spectate and meet some CA peeps...

I believe it should. Plus you should get in on the bassrace action. It's fun. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I was thinking about it. Can you provide a link to bassrace info/details as I searched last night for an hour and couldn't find specifics on how it works.

It's fairly simple. I can break it down for you.
You do a qualifying run that places you in a certain class. The run is a 30 second AVERAGE of which you must play music. So you'll want a song that has a good 35-40 second bass line in it.
These are the classes
110.0-119.9
120.0-129.9
130.0-139.9
140.0-149.9
150.0-159.9
So lets say you do a 135 in your qualifying run. That places you in the 130.0-139.9 class. NOW, the objective is to put up the highest score IN YOUR CLASS. Since you can only do a 135, somebody who can do a 138 will beat you. SO, what you would want to do is keep your setup turned down, and do the 129.9 class.
That way, you have some headroom just in case you get a bad start or something like that. So i'm not sure what your system is capable of, but from the looks of the stuff in your sig, you should have no problem doing the 139.9 class.
Here's the rules in case I didn't break it down enough for you, or if you didn't quite understand what I was saying.

If it's anything like the 1X today, it should kickass. + I heard anyone running maxxsonics gear gets $1000!
tommyk,
Thanks for the info. Do you use a store bought CD or are CD's you rip ok?
What are some good songs for bassrace?
If you guys are there I'll probably hit you up for some tips if I decide to try it.
bassrace can use burnt cd's and mp3's. It has to be music though, no solid tones.

Lil Jon-kings of crunk, and Young Jeezy-thug motivation 101 are two good bassrace cds.

You need to use the official dB drag cd for the db drag portion of the event (street, street max, etc.). For bassrace, you can use whatever you want.
