Dashboard Disassembly

Hi guys,

I need to take the dashboard of my car apart to fix the a problem with the HVAC system. A while back someone posted a link to a site with tutorials on how to disassemble the dashboards of many cars. Does someone have this link? I have a 2002 6 speed Nissan Maxima.

Thanks guys.

Don't know of one for sure. I've always just started taking things apart. Get some ziploc bags and label where the screws came from and maybe take some pictures as you go along. Be prepared to spend a good bit of time doing this though. Taking a dash out is not an easy task. I'd definately recommend disconnecting the battery because of the airbags.

Well, I only need to access the HVAC blower motor and I think I can do it by taking the glove compartment out but I'm not sure. I didn't want to start taking things apart and break something.

Not sure about your specific car but when we took the caddy apart... you can do it by just removing entire jockey-box , air bag (unhook negative terminal!) and airbag frame, and the vent assembly,

this is the Pass. Airbag:

then you find this.
