Dash Illum

On the wires for the HU, there is only illumination, but on my wire harness for the 2005 Civic SE, there is illumination and dimmer.

Do i somehow need to connect both, or only one, and if so which?

If you are not worried about the lights dimming on the head unit, just hook the illumination wire from the head unit to the illumination wire on the car harness. If you want the head unit to dim, hook the illum. wire on h.u. to dimmer wire on car harness. *DO NOT CONNECT BOTH*.
