I used the seat bolt as a ground. i have the wire beteween the seat slider rails and the body which are sanded thouroughly. (i havent added the second batt yet, but i thiught this little bit of info might be helpful?

a second battery will help stabalize your electrical and is a nice upgrade. it is better than using a cap in many ways.

though, with your setup i feel you are fine with your current electrical.

i mean shit.. i ran a profile ap1040 and a soundstram pca2000D on a little honda battery for a few months before i was able to afford a redtop. it held pretty well. my headlights would dim but not my dash lights.

when you start running 1kw-1.5kw that's when you want to look for electrical upgrades of a second bat.

your sony amp probably doesn't make 800w

it sounds like its grounded fine, the way your telling me. more than likely then its a new battery you need

Yeah the cap is worthless, its actually something that draws off your battery, which in turns adds more of a work load to your alternator which equals bad business. Get the YT optima, and you could out that in the back. BTW there is a thread with someone saling one for 90 shipped

taking the cap doesnt help nothing at all...well thats what i think...and why would you upgrade door speakers wires if you only have the amp wired to your subs?...upgrading the door speakers wire wouldnt help anything at all...only if you have an amp installed to your door speaker but stilli doubdt that would help..maybe only on sound quality...i think..

oh darn....that reminds me in certain high notes( be it treble or voice) the speakers (not subs) make this weird hi pitch hiss, ITS JUST REALLY WEIRD.

this happens worse when i turn the treble up, wtf do i do.

this is the reason i asked about upgrading the wiring.

Huh, i have a sony amp that is delivering 500w rms and its doing the same thing, dash and headlights dim, even on lower than my normal listening volume..

Im beginning to think its my amp.

I think i have the EXACT amp you have... Sony xm-2200gtx 1200w and it does 500w rms at 4 ohm..

I have some dimming problems: check my youtube vids.

yup you have the exact same amp. its the 1200watt (silver and black)

does your other speakers make that wierd hissing on high notes???

No, i have no hissing issues. Weird thing though. Today i accidentally left my lights on and my battery died.. I charged it with a charger and then re setup the amp with correct volts etc and i have no dimming as of the 30 min i played music after that. It might be your battery, maybe since i fully charged / warmed it up nicely it outputs more CCA.

Microhaxo... my lights only dim sometimes but when i charge the batt they don't. its the same way for me.
