Dang how slow can usps be?

Man i ordered my crunch gp3000d-pro and my set of rockford 162s components like 6 days ago from online car stereo .com and it still isnt here, and i keep checking me email and usps.com and all it says is Electronic Shipping Info Received, wtf does that mean that it hasnt even like shipped yet? I usps really that slow? That means onlinecarstereo hasn't actually given the package to USPS to be shipped yet. One they receive the package, then they will update the tracking info with a scheduled arrival date, etc.

USPS can be very slow. Friend of mine ordered a home kit for his new XM radio. Package shipped from Indiana, on its way to Detroit, and took 9 days! Very slow, indeed.

Not always true. Its not always updated. And they dont update with an arrival date.

But, I have ordered from online car stereo a couple times, and every time it took exactly 7 days to get here.

USPS is not always slow..i order something last week..well i bought something from a member here...shipped it and i got it like 3 days later...i guess it depends on the person that ships it

Thanks, i hope my amp doesnt get fuged up or my comps, but i think that usps is a little more careful than ups with packages.

Having worked at USPS and UPS, I can tell you first hand experience that USPS is MUCH more careful with packages than UPS.

USPS does NOT have tracking information. They have what is called Delivery Confirmation. This simply means that they will update when the package was delivered. More than likely your package is more than half way to you by now, even though nothing is updated on the website.

Another thing to note is that USPS is slowing down due to the holidays and the bad economy. Literally packages are sitting due to high volume and lower than "normal" workers to handle said packages.

Its taken 2 weeks for something to get to me through usps before. Id trust the post office over ups or fedex not to break my items though.

Thanks for the replies and the info about the tracking, i guess i can stop refreshing my browser page every 20 minutes to see if its updated lol:crazy: hopefully itll be here before the 15th cause thats when i got to start back to school i would hate not to get to hear it before then!!!!
