Okay so I want to buy more sound deadener for my car.

Ebay has 36 sq feet of dynamat xtreme for about 110-120 shipped.

Where as ssa.com has damplifier 40 sq feet for 98.98 + shipping.

SO now idk what to go with.

is dynamat xtreme better then damplifier?

I know damplifier pro is better then dynamat xtreme.

IDK what to go with.

HELP!

Well no, because shipping is about 15 bucks

so it breaks out to be about exactly the same price

I just don't know if one dampens truly better then the other.

HELP!
Both are great sound deadeners.

Maybe this will help:

Dynamat Extreme

4 mil foil

Butyl Adhesive

.45 lbs per sq foot total weight

Damplifier (standard, not pro)

4 mil foil

Butyl Adhesive

.48 lbs per sq foot total weight

The Damplifier vibration mat gives you 4 square feet more in a pack, but you have to pay for shipping.

The amount you spend is probably pretty close to the same.

Either way you will get a solid product.

ANT

I'd get Damplifier just because Ant really stands behind his product. He's a good dude. With Dynamat, you're just getting whoever the eGay seller is. Chances are they could care less about you.

Ah okay, so the damplifier is a tad bit heavier?

Do you guys include a free roller with first order //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Cliffs -

damplifier has .03 lbs sq/ft more than dynamat xtream

Get damplifier.

I have been using dynamat extreme for a few years now and love it. PLus Chip Foose uses it lol

Chip Foose has a loose ass.

Besides that i think I will do with second skin.

Probably will order my first set as soon as i sell this phat roll of nasty e-dead on craigslist //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Nor does anyone as Second Skin doesn't publish damping specs and Dynamat does.

If the butylene composite is the same on Damp as it is on DP, then I personally like Second Skin's product a little better. It seems more "rubbery" which seems to lend to the products viscoelasticity more. I got no science on that, it's just my gut feeling.

On a side note, I saw some Stinger Expert RoadKill at CC the other day for like $4000 per square with this awful gooey tar-like adhesive that reminded me of this certain product that's complete crap in my eyes that's always mentioned in these threads. I should really stop using my brain sometimes, I could get in trouble...............
