damplifer vs damplifer pro

I am thinking about ordering some second skin damplifer material myself for my new audio system in my extended cab ford ranger truck and was wonder what thoughts people here might have. I plan on just doing the doors and funds are now limited.

So Basically I'm just wondering if its worth the extra money for damplifer pro over just regular damplifer? it seems the pro is rated at Target Thickness: 75-80 mils while the regular damplifier is Target Thickness: 50-60 mils. Is there a noticeable sound quality different between the two in terms of reduced vibrations, etc?

Damplifier Pro also has thicker foil. I'd suggest regular Damplifier and use an extra layer just where you need it. Gives you more control.

Yeah i thought about that as wouldn't doubling up regular damplifer do better then a single sheet of damlifier pro. I noticed I have some serious rattles and vibrations coming from my rangers doors with my new pioneer 6x8 speakers . It's extremely annoying whenever there are bass tones :/ I have to keep the volume low right now in order to keep the sound from distorting.

I've wondered this too, I'm about to do my whole SUV so cost vs benefits? Pro will be going in doors and wheel-well areas, but I'd like to double layer most of my truck. Few layers of regular damp, might like you said control better over floors due to thinner foil?

Lux liner will be used too, or Overkill ... and speaker tweakers. Overall SQ improvement I'm looking for rather then SPL.

so it's smarter to order regular damplifier than spending the extra money for damplifier pro?
It seems very likely that 2 layers of regular Damplifier will be more effective than a single layer of Damplifier Pro, but that wasn't really my point. With vibration dampers like these, there is no point in using more than you need. Some areas are going to be fine with a single layer of regular Damplifier. Damplifier Pro would be overkill. In the areas where you need more, regular Damplifier gives you more granular control. Damplifier Pro would be a great choice if you just want to do one layer quickly and be done with it - if your time is worth more than the price differential.
