Damage to Brahma with Ported box?

alright i got my Brahma the other day. but the only box i have for it is a 1.9cuft ported box i think to 30-35 hz. i know this box is to small for my sub but i installed it anyway(impatient). my question is what kind of hazards do i run by doin this? Are smaller ported boxes easier to blow subs than larger ones with the same wattage? BTW im running 750-940 watts. help me guys.

Actually your sub has less chance of bottoming out in a smaller box...it's larger boxes that make it easier to damage the sub.

i have no user experience but those things look so beefy with under 1kw i wouldnt be afraid of anything

If it helps, I'm running my b12 in a 1.3 cu ft. sealed box and it sounds and pounds really well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

yeah, the bottom line space for basically all 12"s are about 1.3 cu ft. Odd eh?

thanks. not that it helps fcuking dealer i bought it from sent me a bad brahma!!! at a certain excursion point the cone sounds like it is poppin! i cant even play it close to loud. it sucks now they are being all shady about it and arent answering my emails. do u think by me puttin it in 1.8 cube ported damaged it? this is so messed up!!

That sucks, where did you buy it from? Tell them you are going to file a claim with squaretrade if they don't replace it.

My guess would be user error
