being totaled means the bill to fix it is more than the cars worth. could be $1,000. could be $20,000. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gifok heres some info the car has 258,000+ miles the engine and ***** have about 100,000 miles on it
after my deductible they are offering me $744.00
it will cost me 244.00 to buy it back
and the damage is more then 500.00 to 600.00 bucks otherwise it wouldn't be considered total
i didn't say the is only 500.00 to 600.00 in damage i was stating exacly what you did i know cars worked on car been around the my whole lifebeing totaled means the bill to fix it is more than the cars worth. could be $1,000. could be $20,000. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
x2 on the is there any frame damage, core support damage, engine damage?
hoods arent cheap, headlamp assemblies arent cheap (depending on what kind your car uses), im sure theres some damage to the bumper cover, maybe the beam behind it. if the beam is pushing in in any way, the beam bracketry may be effed up. if you hit them so hard you knocked your unibody structure out of dimension, thats pretty good cash right there to fix that. and since its a unibody car (im assuming it is, most cars nowadays are) they transfer motion. light hit in the front, rear quarters might be buckled, truck might be misaligned. doors may not line up, steering and suspension components might be off, motor mounts might be broken. it could become an expencive laundry list very quickly.
then how the hell is there so much damage? i work in collision repair..old car, alot of them made, cheap cars..and if everything your saying is true then your insurance company is anal raping the shit out of you by totalling it. shouldnt cost but $300 to repair (in parts alone)i didn't say the is only 500.00 to 600.00 in damage i was stating exacly what you did i know cars worked on car been around the my whole life
and no it wasn't a hard hid if you don;'t know bonnivilles they have a good size void right behind the grill before you get to any major structural part of the car and
no it didn't f up th unibody already check the bumper is right where it suppose be
frames fine
the hood alone is 300 new im sure. if not more. as you said....hoods arent cheap. That is probably 600 in parts between bumper, hood, lights, grille, core support, and whatever else isn't shown.then how the hell is there so much damage? i work in collision repair..old car, alot of them made, cheap cars..and if everything your saying is true then your insurance company is anal raping the shit out of you by totalling it. shouldnt cost but $300 to repair (in parts alone)
