Dads new toy

It is a 1955 Chevy model 210. It has a small block 350 with a few mods. It needs new paint pretty bad, and my dad wants to eventually bring the exhaust back to the bumper. It came with the original owners manual, a few extra parts, the Bel-Air chrome pieces and a few other goodies. Everything on this car is CLEAN. No rust, and there isnt much putty at all...

Went with him to pick it up today. dropped $16,000 for it. The only condition was that my dad joins this guys car club so he doesnt have to miss his baby.

It kinda whines because of the pulley, but other than that it is a very smooth and nice sounding ride //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif cranked a few heads too.

Very nice car. Try replacing the belt first that's what it ended up being on my car when I thought it was the pulley.

i know next to nothing about engines, but my dad said the guy replaced something with a belt or something and thats what the whine is...im sure you know more than i do...my dads been working as a mechanic since he was 14, so he knows whats up, i just don't remember what exactly he said:

it is dart.

its got a roller cam and arms and a gear drive instead of something or other...im bad at engines, but he tried to explain it to me

all the guy we bought it from did to it since he bought it 8 yrs ago, is engine and ****** rebuild. it had a 327(?) in it he said, and he stuck a bunch of money into the engine. he spared no expense and has *** loads of receipts to prove it (thats the envelope on the seat)

They replaced the timing chain with a gear drive, thats the whine you hear.
